1. Deletion Overview
HookSpot uses social logins (such as Facebook Login) to provide a seamless authentication experience. According to compliance policies, you have the right to delete your activities for the HookSpot App and request the permanent removal of your data.
2. Method 1: Removing Data via Facebook
You can remove your information and disconnect the app directly from your Facebook account by following these steps:
- Go to your Facebook Account's Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
- In the left-hand menu, look for Apps and Websites. You will see all the apps and websites you've linked with your Facebook.
- Search for and click on HookSpot in the list.
- Scroll down and click Remove.
- Congratulations, you have successfully removed HookSpot from your Facebook activities and we will no longer receive any new data.
3. Method 2: Deleting Your Account in the HookSpot App
You can also permanently delete your HookSpot account and all associated data directly within our mobile application:
- Open the HookSpot App on your device.
- Navigate to the Profile tab.
- Tap the Settings icon (⚙️) in the top right corner.
- Scroll down to the About section and tap Help Center.
- Scroll to the very bottom of the Help Center and tap the Delete Account button under Quick Links.
- Confirm your choice. Your profile will be instantly anonymized and all your personal identifiers (email, linked social accounts, avatar) will be permanently erased from our servers.

Important Notice
Data deletion requests are permanent. Once your account is deleted, your catch records, saved spots, and community interactions cannot be restored.
